Environment and Climate

Patagonia is an immense region, more than 1000km long from North to South. It is a country of lakes, steep mountains, glaciers, forests. While in the extreme south, the climatic conditions are harsh, the north benefits from a temperate climate, favoring lush vegetation along the waterways, forests of beech, cypress, bamboo, fuchsia... The wind West, dominating, blows in the direction of the rivers, also allowing us to whip fish on windy days. The fishing season lasts six months, from October to April; average temperatures are around 16°C, with a warmer period between December and March. Highly recommended maximum protection sunscreen. Unlike in the northern hemisphere, you won't be bothered by hordes of mosquitoes or black flies and won't have to fear the disturbing presence of a grizzly bear behind you. Instead, enjoy massive hatches of sedges and mayflies and maybe, with luck, the faint footprints of a mountain lion along a stream.
